Ilis Geronimo is a ceramicist that primarily uses wheel-throwing and coil-building techniques. The majority of her work consists of unglazed stoneware plant pots. The forms are inspired by Central American, Classical Greek and Roman ceramics. Her focus on pottery comes from an interest in improving local ecology, and encouraging people with outdoor space to include plants and create habitat.
